Quick note! How would YOU like to save a couple of dollars? You can now pick up Defender Chronicles, the App Store's 'first 2D tower defense platformer', for a buck. The game launched a couple of months ago and has gained a pretty dedicated fan base. If you've had your eyes on it now is as good of a time as many to get it on the cheap.
Ngmoco's Star Defense has dropped down in price to the extremely "worth it" price of $1.99. This is the second price drop in a little over a week. Are they gearing up to drop it even further to the App Store sweet spot of 99 cents? We'll see! Either way this is an incredible value if you've had your eyes on it but have been resistant because of the cost of entry.
Go fire sales! It was just 5 days ago Star Hogs dropped from $4.99 to $2.99. Looks like that wasn't enough for IUGO so they've decided to drop the price even further to the proverbial money shot of price points and put it at 99¢. If you've been looking to pick up Star Hogs now is as good a chance as any. If you're still a little hesitant you can always pick up the lite version and try before you buy.
Star Hogs, a space battle game reminiscent of Worms, went on sale today to a cool $2.99 down from $4.99. Ever since the game was released ealier this month people have been praising it to no end, and there's plenty of good reason why, it's fantastic. Along with announcing a sale Star Hogs have also announced a few improvements for the game coming in future updates. Check it out:
1st Update Has Been SUBMITTED:
* multi-player game play balancing improvements
* bug fixes
2nd Update COMING SOON:
* graphical changes and improvements
* in-game peer to peer text messaging! Taunt, tease, ridicule and praise. This will take online play up a notch or three.
* Optional DLC support for OS 3.0 users
If you haven't played Star Hogs and would like to try before you buy I strongly encourage you to give the lite version a try. With a current 4 1/2 star average raiting on iTunes chances are solid you'll walk away as impressed as the rest of us.
I've been wanting to give Kill All Bugs! a try ever since it released earlier this month but have kinda, sorta been putting it off even though I've heard plenty of great things about the tower defense game. It currently has a 4 1/2 star rating on iTunes and community reviews are overwhelmingly positive. They've been dropping its price for a while now but just yesterday they put it at that "I'll give anything a try" sweet spot and dropped it down to a buck. Sold! First time you've heard of Kill All Bugs? Check out this pretty snazzy teaser trailer (see actual gameplay footage here):
