Hey guys, got a quick recommendation for everyone out there who's a miniature golf fan and has a few bucks to burn. I picked Mini Golf Wacky Worlds ($2.99) last night and have been having a pretty good time with it. The visuals are bright and appropriate, the physics handle as expected and it's a takes all but a match to get used to the controls. Having just gotten off of a brief stint with Let's Golf ($1.99) I was initially let down with the mechanics, but in a matter of no time you'll become assimilated to them. Of the miniature golf games I've played from the App Store this has go to be my favorite. Pick it up if that sounds like your sorta thing.
Oh Fuji Printing Co. Ltd, you're quite the jokesters! You got us Americans pretty good with your release of Pencil Baseball. Not a whole lot to report on this one. I saw Pencil Baseball stroll into the App Store the other day and I had to do a double take. The game is in Japanese...yes, the whole ting. Not sure why the developer would release a game in the US that most people wouldn't be able to read or if it was a mistake. Perhaps the new intern accidentally submitted it to the US App Store instead of the Japanese one. Takashi, you fool! The only saving grace for this one is it's price point, it's free. Even then it's not worth checking out and the iTunes gaming public agrees, all eight of them:
Hey guys, just a quick heads up. A game I've been following for a while now, Cornhole All-Stars, has been released on the App Store at the introductory price of 99¢. While I've never heard of bean bag toss being referred to as a game of 'cornhole' I'm willing to overlook the regional faux pas and give it a go. Just look at the artwork, too nice to pass up! The presentation appears to be top notch and early iTunes reviews are extremely positive. Games like Backflip Studios Paper Toss have proven to be insanely popular, will Cornhole All-Stars rise the ranks and become the aim and toss game of choice? We'll see!
Seems just like yesterday we were posting about the first 99¢ Baseball Slugger sale: "Com2us released Baseball Slugger 3D
about a month ago and it has since been one of the premiere baseball
games to hit the iPhone. It currently boasts a 4 1/2 star average
rating on iTunes and if you read the reviews you'll see no shortage of
the word "addicted" popping up. If baseball's your thing, or even if
it's not for only a buck it's absolutely worth looking into."
