Gameloft , the French publisher/developer behind such iPhone games as Assassin's Creed , Terminator Salvation and Ferrari GT Evolution announced today during the WWDC '09 keynote their newest title, Asphalt 5. The street racer was showcased during the keynote for it's peer-to-peer racing feature and ability to play songs from your iTunes playlist while racing. Multiple writers blogging the event have noted the smooth framerate and impressive lighting. Gameloft's previous version, Asphalt 4: Elite Racing, debuted in the app store last August. Astrosaurus will have more on Asphalt 5 as information becomes available.
