Peggle goes on sale for a buck!

peggle001.jpg

So there is a God. Peggle, the casual cult classic from Popcap Games went on sale for the astonishingly low price of 99 cents today. The game first made it's debut on the PC in 2007 and has since been ported to just about every platform imagineable. It eventually found it's way into the app store, nabbing extremely high reviews, in early May. It's very rare these days to come across a game that's universally praised by damn near everyone. It's even RARER that said game goes on sale for a buck. This is the definition of a "must buy" scenario.

You can download Peggle in the app store right here .

Toki Tori: Lite version now available.

Toki Tori Lite has floated its way into the app store. The full version of Toki Tori (4.99), developed by Two Tribes and published by Chillingo , launched late last month. For those unfamiliar with the title it's a puzzle platformer that puts you in control of a chick trying to collect a series of elusive, recklessly placed eggs (with feet). To control your character you tap the desired location of the level and your character follows. HOWEVER! Danger and bad guys lurk around every corner...naturally. If your character can't make it to your desired location you're given several items to help you accomplish your goal. The gameplay reminds me a bit of Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis for the DS.

If you haven't had a chance to get your hands on Toki Tori this is a great little freebie I'd recommend to just about anyone. Not only is it fun but it's worth checking out for the production quality alone. While the presentation is relatively simple, the art direction and execution is perfect for the platform. Give it a go and let us know what you think!
