			<title>It's going to be a quiet month. </title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/latest/traveling.-sept-8th-to-oct-8th.html</link>
			<description>

...more like Neverupdatesaurus, right? A buddy and I decided to take
advantage of Jet Blue's All You Can Jet pass. It allows you to fly
around as much as you want with Jet Blue for a month. During my trip
I'll be hitting up Washington DC, Boston, New York, Costa Rica, Puerto
Rico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Mexico. I've been preparing for
it the past few days and will be taking off here in a few more days.
Between this, having just moved and starting up school there hasn't
been a whole lot of time for iPhone games! Upon my return (early
October) my schedule will be a little different, but it'll be concrete
and consistent with no major life changing events. I will have settled
in to my new place by then and life will resume back to normal.

I can't imagine that thousands of games I'll miss during my month long
trip but I'm looking forward to coming back and having a wealth of top
notch titles waiting for me to download. You guys have a great month.
As always you're welcome to email me but it might be quite sometime
until I'm able to get back to ya. See you when I get back.

			<title>Asteroid BBQ is free, free, free! For a limited time only.</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/action/asteroid-bbq-is-free-free-free-for-a-limited-time-only.html</link>

It's funny. Games that normally fly under my radar and are ultimately forgotten suddenly get a resurgence of life as soon as they go on an insane sale or are offered for free. Suddenly you start telling your friends to give it a shot, they start rising in the charts, the game gets more face time and fun is had by all. Welcome to another one of those occasions!

Asteroid BBQ (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=320241730 mt=8), previously 99&amp;cent;, most closely resembles top down shooters like Geometry Wars. You control a ship on a flat plane, shoot enemies, avoid taking damage and try to last as long as you can while racking up points. The formula is simple but it's fun. Now admittedly I haven't explored everything Asteroid BBQ has to offer, but I don't have to and neither do you. It's free, pick it up and play around until you feel like moving onto something else. That's the beauty of a free download! Have fun.

			<title>Castle of Magic and Rise of Lost Empires drop down to a buck.</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/latest/castle-of-magic-and-rise-of-lost-empires-drop-down-to-a-buck.html</link>
			<description>

We have a lot to be grateful for. The App Store Gods have been good to us once again. They've bestowed upon us yet a couple of worthwhile price drops. The price drops come in the form of Gameloft's Castle of Magic (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=319384204 mt=8) and Rise of Lost Empires (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=318328363 mt=8). As of today you can now pick up both titles for only a buck. The last few Gameloft price drops have been permanent, so I have reason to believe that these aren't likely to pop back to their former price of $2.99 anytime soon, if ever.

			<title>Worst. Blogger. Ever.</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/latest/worst.-blogger.-ever.html</link>
			<description>
Holy crap I've been busy the past couple of weeks! Family coming in from out of town, house hunting like a mad man and now actually moving! I've been fairly out of the loop with iPhone gaming over the past week or so since I've been so busy. The last thing I downloaded was Bubble Bobble and I've been loving it! Whenever I find myself waiting around or between breaks lugging boxes I've busted that out and can get a few quick rounds in. Aside from that there's SO many games that have come out over the past couple of weeks that I can't wait to try out. Things have calmed down a bit, I got my little office setup and JUST got the internet going maybe a half hour ago. Posts should be flowing a lot more regularly from here on out. Looking forward to getting back into things.

			<title>Sneezies features in-game message specifically for pirated copies.</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/latest/sneezies-features-in-game-message-specifically-for-pirated-copies.html</link>
			<description>
Retro Dreamer has a post (http://retrodreamer.com/blog/2009/08/arrrr-choo-sneezies-and-piracy/) outlining their concerns over pirated copies of their game Sneezies (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=298155609 mt=8) (99&amp;cent;). While they were unable to find a true figure for how many copies of their game have been pirated they have a rough idea, about 5-10%. How did they find out? In Sneezies they have a news section with up to date info. They point pirate versions to a different update and acquired the stats by how many times the pirate update was accessed. The message?

That's the nicest, most non-threatening way of saying buy our shit ever. I think the personalized message for pirates was pretty clever and I hope it creates a few more sales for them. Any other game out there doing something similar?

			<title>Doom Resurrection 2.99 sale extended until tonight.</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/action/doom-resurrection-2.99-sale-extended-until-tonight.html</link>
			<description>

In honor of QuakeCon Doom Resurrection (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=318567158 mt=8) went on sale for
$2.99 during the convention. That's 6 bucks off of their God damn, I'll wait for a
sale price point of $9.99. They extended the sale that will last until the end of tonight, that's only a few hours left! To be honest I've never
been the biggest Doom fan nor am I the biggest proponent of full
fledged 3D games on the iPhone, but for this price it's really hard not
to finally download it. We've all heard how great it is. Consider it purchased.

			<title>Adult Swim's Vending Machine Champ on sale for a buck.</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/action/adultswim-s-vending-machine-champ-on-sale-for-a-buck.html</link>
			<description>

If you've been jonesin' to get your hands on Adult Swim's elusive (action/adult-swim-s-vending-machine-champ-released-then-pulled.html) Vending Machine Champ (http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=322830541 mt=8) now is as good of a time as any to get your filthy paws on it. But you better pick it up quick! You've got about 6 hours left, once the weekend's over the sale will be done with. I, for one, plan on taking advantage of the sale. Quite frankly I'm a little sick and tired of vending machines acting they own the place. It's about time we level the playing field. Wish me luck.

			<title>Back to our regularly scheduled program?</title>
			<link>http://www.astrosaurus.com/latest/back-to-our-regularly-scheduled-program.html</link>
			<description>
This last week was pretty pathetic, wasn't it? Real life got in the way and I had hardly any time to make any updates. Between having family in town and seriously stepping up my house hunting game there wasn't much time for anything else. Good news though! After filing out what felt like a million applications and making thousands of phone calls I've found a place. Now all I gotta do is move! Fortunately I've got quite a bit of time before I gotta get out of this place so I'm able to take things a little slowly. Which hopefully will lead to consistent blogging. Thanks for being patient over the past week, things are getting better, promise!

Hey guys, just a quick heads up! Have some family visiting me from out of town so my schedule is a bit out of whack for the moment. It's going to be a little quiet over the next couple of days but everything should be back to normal here in a bit. Talk to you guys soon!
