Spore Origins was released last September as a mobile companion to it's beefier, more complex PC counterpart Spore. With a $9.99 price tag and already owning both the full version of Spore and buying the Creature Creator beforehand I decided I was Spore'd out and passed it up.
Flash forward about 11 months and EA has decided to drop it down to the lowest, greatest pricepoint of them all at 99¢. With all of the Spore I've already played I'm unfortunately going to have to pass once again but I'd imagine there are still plenty of people out there who are willing to fork over a buck to give the nearly one year old Origins a try.

Cute, eh? I know a good thing when I see it and this, my friends, is a good thing. Lousia Giffard went ahead and made some Rolando 2 plushies as a homemade gift for her brother's birthday and the results are just too awesome too ignore. Head on over to her blog and check out the rest.

I loves me a good mashup and I think this one is worthy of celebration. Minigore, the adorable shooter coming to us by way of Mountain Sheep, has announced a new unlockable character for their upcoming release. Everyone's favorite road raging bear with questionable driving skills is going to make an honorary appearance in the game. We're, of course, are talking about none other than Enviro-Bear of Enviro-Bear 2010 fame. If you're unfamiliar with Enviro-Bear 2010 we first introduced you to the game over here and did an interview with its creator Justin Smith. Here's what we had to say about it before:
I'm sure most
people didn't know what to think the first times they laid eyes on it.
The presentation, for instance, is shockingly bad, the graphics are
crude and looked to have been lifted straight out of the archaic depths
of MS-Paint. When I saw the screens roll in I had a good chuckle but
ultimately didn't think much of it. Throughout the day I noticed
chatter about the game was picking up, surprised by my apparent
miscalculation to check it out the first time around I decided to find
more. Cruising through some forums I came across this trailer , it was then when I became a believer"

There are a few games on the iPhone I always come back to. Games that are so fun and have so much replay value that even after playing countless rounds I envision myself continuing to play them for a long time to come. One game on that short prestigious list has to go to, without a doubt, Big Top 10. No matter how many other games I play in between I always come back to this one and a handful of others. It's one of those perfect pickup and play games you can pull out when you're waiting in line or have a few minutes to kill. If you haven't gotten a chance to play the number puzzler you owe it to yourself to check out their recently released lite version. If you find yourself as hooked as the rest of us you can commit to the full thing for only a buck. Go on, get downloadin'.

Go fire sales! It was just 5 days ago Star Hogs dropped from $4.99 to $2.99. Looks like that wasn't enough for IUGO so they've decided to drop the price even further to the proverbial money shot of price points and put it at 99¢. If you've been looking to pick up Star Hogs now is as good a chance as any. If you're still a little hesitant you can always pick up the lite version and try before you buy.
